Graduate student journey map

A journey map is a visual look at an experience from an individual user’s perspective of his or her relationship with a product or service over time. Plotting this journey helps organizations or companies to better understand how they can improve their relationship with a user or customer at various stages of the process. Typically a journey map includes a persona (main character), pain points, timeline, emotion, touch points and channels.

I added some flair to the journey map by incorporating some illustrations to give it a look that’s more…”me.” Most of the illustrations I used are remixed graphics from I found illustrations that matched my design style and customized them to better match my look, my dog and the University of Maryland campus:
