Digital Cultures and Creativity

Digital Cultures and Creativity (now Design | Cultures + Creativity) is one of seven living and learning honors programs at the University of Maryland. It’s a two year, 16-credit program that culminates in a capstone project at the end of sophomore year.

I graduated from DCC in fall 2013 after completing my capstone project in the spring. My team’s project explored citizen journalism reporting and won funding from the university’s Future of Information Alliance Deutsch Seed Grant Competition.

Check out some of the projects I did for DCC (we learned to code by dancing…), or read some of my journal entries from my first semester in the program.
